It's been a long time...

It's been a long time since I document the progress of the 2 princesses.

Princess LY has embarked on formal education and is now a Primary 1 student in a neighbourhood school. So far (after 6 mths) she has adapted well into the school life and of course Mummy is also feeling the 'stress' that the school is giving.

For Primary 1, there will not be any examinations but they will be having holistic assessment. Starting from Term 2, there are already some graded assessment. Eg, Show & Tell, Oral, Maths Test, English Test. Every week, there will also be spelling in both english and chinese. More to come for the rest of the year.

Teachers' comments about her has been quite positive too from the last 2 parent teacher conference.

- helpful girl and always willing to help
- has good learning attitude
- needs to be a little bit more focus and less careless

Now for Princess LX, she is now 2yrs and 3mths soon. An active and cheeky girl. At the stage where she is learning to talk and wanting to do things we are doing. I had not document most of her milestones so hope I can still remember them and document as much as i can now.

She took her 1st step on 7th April 2014.

Learning to take her pants off on 15 Aug 14

Heard her said 'ball' and 'play' on 18 Oct 14

Weaned off her pacifier in Mar 15

Brought them to Mac for Lunch before watching Hi-5 show. Showed her the box of nuggets that I bought for her.

LX is gonna be 8 months old soon!

Lazy mummy had not been updating LX's growth as promptly as what I did for LY.

So better jot down now before I forget.

1) Able to sit up on her own (as in sit up from lying position) -> 9 Nov 13 (7.5mths)

2) Standing up with the support of furniture/human ->

3) Started solids

2nd Bundle of Joy

We had welcome our 2nd princess, LX,  in Mar and now she is going to be 3 months old soon. Better jot down some milestones of hers before I forgets.

At 2 months +,
 - she is now able to coo and 'talk' a lot.
- Self-entertain while we are busy.
- Able to lift her head up when on tummy
- Keep wanting to lift herself up when carrying.
- Able to 'stand' for quite a long time (of cos carrying her la)

As at 3 June, she weighed 5.08kg.

Dropped her umbilical cord on 27 Mar 13.

Never Kiss Mama

This morning, hb woke up earlier than us and wanted to run some errands before coming back to pick us. Before he leaves the room, LY woke up and saw him... so we told her that daddy is going to work... and she waved to him saying bye bye. Hb kissed her on the cheek and leaves the room.

Suddenly, I heard her saying: 'o... 没有kiss Mama' I thought I heard wrongly and ask her to repeat, she repeat the exact same word. keke... so sweet of her right! So daddy, u must kiss Mama too when you go out without us... hahahaha

Till Death Do We Part

Received a letter from ICA few days back. Not asking me to renew my passport but my IC cos my birthday is around the corner and am turning 30 this year! gosh!

Those who are in the same era as me will know that it's been long enough for us to carry our current IC bearing our most youthful look (Pri 6). So now it's time to change it but also the same time to remind you that: hey, you are already 30! keke

Gotta take new photo for my IC which is gng to be with me till death do we part...

Conversation w Ah Ma

I find the below conversation quite cute. It was a phone conversation between my mum and LY.

Ah Ma: LY, 你起来了啊?

LY: arh, 起来了.

I find it cute because I did not expect LY to response in such a way. as to able to give her a proper answer to her question.

She has really grown up a lot (going to 21 months in a weeks time). She is now able to say a lot of words and even those with 3 to 4 syllabus. eg. Umbrella. and when you teach her some words and ask her to repeat it, she is able to do so too!

She is also able to recite from number 1-20 (not recognising and counting yet) and sing some songs (not very clear with some words but able to know what song she is singing)

When my mum saw this, she was so stressed that she will not be able to teach her all this if she is to look after her when I return to the workforce.

Such statisfaction is really priceless...

Horrible Insect Bites!

Swelling of LY's foot

Whenever LY got bitten by insect (well, I don't know by ants or by mozzie), the wound will definitely swell up the next day.

She got a bite again on Thurs nite and this time round, the swelling was horrible. Apparently, her whole foot was swollen the next day and she keeps complaining about the itch. Got panic and brought her to see a GP and she was given antibiotics and some medication for it.

Am so glad that there was no fever and the swell subsides the next day.
